Managers' Perceptions of Women and Men Leaders

Nous avons examiné les perceptions de managers issus de quatre groupes culturels d'Europe de l'est sur le leadership des femmes et des hommes. Quelque soit leur groupe culturel, les participants ont perçu des différences liées au sexe en matière de leadership. Si certains stéréotypes varient d'une culture à l'autre, ils sont cependant plus souvent liés au sexe du participant qu'à leurs croyances culturelles. Curieusement, ces stéréotypes sont moins répandus chez les participants latins que chez ceux issus de cultures plus égalitaires. Dans les groupes du nord et anglo-saxons, les stéréotypes masculins accordent peu de crédit aux performances des femmes en termes de leadership. Les implications pour le leadership des femmes dans ces différents contextes culturels sont étudiés.
